Leah McCallum, Principal/Owner with Blue Orange, is a dynamic and energetic community leader with a track record of re-invigorating teams in static environments. Blue Orange leverages years of nonprofit and government relations experience in assisting clients. Blue Orange is a place-based consulting company, catering to the people, projects and places that see bright orange sunsets on blue water. Prior to launching Blue Orange, Leah garnered nonprofit leadership at organizations including Goodwill Northern Michigan, Rotary Charities of Traverse City, the Detroit Zoological Society, and Northwestern Memorial Foundation in Chicago.

She understands Northern Michigan’s diverse and unique constituents. She served as State Director for Senator Gary C. Peters, representing him in the 26 counties in Northern Lower Michigan and also serving as a liaison to federal agencies.

In her volunteer capacity, Leah has lent her expertise to the Smithsonian Women’s Museum, Interlochen Public Radio, Michigan State Extension, Michigan State Police, the Traverse City Downtown Development Authority, the Traverse City Farmer’s Market, Planned Parenthood of Northern Michigan, the Traverse City Arts Commission, Munson Hospital Community Health Committee and other community-based projects.
